Variable Size Droplet Printers for New Models:  Epson Stylus Pro7600, 9600,10000 and HP 10

Torrent ProofReady signature RIP or the New ProofReady plugin allows the RIP to provide page images to a supported Epson Variable Size Droplet (VSD) printers 7600, 9600 and 10000. All of these printers implement a print head technology known as MicroPiezoĆ which uses extremely precise and variable size droplets of ink to pro-duce ultra-sharp resolution prints at high speeds. The VSD printers listed above can produce up to 3 different size dots (essentially small, medium and large) as well as no dot at all. These VSD printers therefore require 2-bit screening information.   The printer can be connected directly to the computer running the RIP or through a suitable network or interface adapter, or print to file and transfer this file for output to a printer.  HEDS2 (Harlequin 2-bit Error Diffusion Screening) is one of the in-RIP EDS screens used to produce the highest quality output for inkjet printers.  Instant color management using supplied profiles. PhotoInk (CMYKcm) 6-color output as well as 7-color (CMYKcmk) output on relevant devices. The new light Black Ink, the 7th colour, significantly improves the printer’s gray balance and midtones, producing stable colour with an extremely wide colour gamut, rivaling even dye based inks   A choice of resolution for the output page image for all media sizes and types supported by the model of printer in use.  User choice of output quality. 360 x 360 dpi (360),720 x 720 dpi (720),  1440 x 720 dpi (1440)and 2880 x 1440 dpi (2880).  as supported by the model of printer. Emulation of industry standard proofing targets can also be achieved with the appropriate ICC Color profiles available from HighWater. Using the HighWater RIP technology in the production of professional color output gives you color at a size never before imagined in this price range. The HighWater color printing solutions are easy to use, making the rapidly developing technology accessible to a wider and more general market.   Support for ICC Profiles is provided by Torrent’s HIPP module. Profiles of selected analogue proffers are bundled with HIPP so you can use your color printer to emulate DuPont Cromalin and 3M Matchprint output (within the limits of your printer capabilities).
