The new ink usage and press duct setting software from HighWater, improves make-ready times. It calculates the amount of ink that your press requires for a plate. You can then output this information in different formats, showing the settings required for the press’s ink fountain keys – either as a percentage or according to the characteristics of the fountain keys. The software is fully configurable for any plate size and for most modern presses. It can also produce the information in a proprietary format: for example, you can transfer the InkMonitor output to the Ryobi Press Control System, simply by using a floppy disk. InkMonitor profiles are available for many major press manufacturers’ control systems and CIP3, the emerging open system standard print production format. InkMonitor is packaged with its own RIP, providing a fast, highly cost effective solution for press minders. Matching the software directly to the increasingly sophisticated presses and press control systems, InkMonitor will ensure that ink duct settings will be right first time.
