A PC-based system providing PostScript printing to your scanner’s output drum. CH-Plotter lets you output PostScript pages to the output drum of your high-end scanner. It can be used alongside conventional imagesetters and proofers to increase the flexibility and throughput of your production system. CH-Plotter provides a high quality, cost-effective front line or back-up imaging facility. By using the large format, high quality optics and engineering of the drum scanner, CH-Plotter lets you accept oversize jobs which may otherwise be turned away. In addition, it lets you spread your workload more effectively between your current output facilities. Key Features ¨ Converts a high-end drum recorder into a PostScript imagesetter. ¨ Provides large format job options. ¨ Film layout control allows output of multiple separations in a single pass for optimum film usage. ¨ Provides PostScript screening through a Level 3 RIP. ¨ Supports two imaging resolutions (eg.:: 1829 dpi and 2438 dpi for Hell & Crosfield) for handling a wide range of PostScript screen rulings. ¨ Provides a Chooser level device for printing ¨ PostScript jobs directly from the host application via AppleShare. ¨ Compressed format for bitmap separations reduces file size and gives optimum disk storage and faster SCSI transfer to the plotter interface. ¨ Available on PC Windows NT & 2000 OS. ¨ Normal scanner operation is unaffected. ¨ Differential SCSI interface board. 20 meter differential SCSI cable. |
